The more thought-out the better. You basically want to know how you are going to generate revenue, from whom you are going to generate revenue, and who else is doing the same thing. Then you need to create a Web site. That means purchasing a domain name that’s easy to pronounce, to remember, to spell and that tells the world what you do. Purchasing web hosting to host your Web site. Yes, you do need both web hosting and a Web site. Then have your Web site designed and your content written. The next step is promoting your Web site. They do not come just because you built it; you have to tell them about it first. There are many ways to promote your Web site, both online and offline. The thing to do is to create a marketing plan, then implement it. You also want to be sure your computer will be able to handle your new business. Can it hold all the new software you are going to use without freezing? You want enough memory and hard drive space to handle everything you will be doing online. You also need a high speed connection, if at all possible. Then, of course, you need to set up a payment processor. For most businesses, PayPal.com works in the beginning.
